There is high signal intensity of the medial aspect of the plantar plate of great toe, best demonstrated on the coronal and sagittal T2W Fat Sat images. It corresponds to stretching of the medial phalangeo-sesamoid ligament. No retraction of sesamoid bones or edema of flexor hallucis brevis or abductor hallucis.
