Minimally displaced type 3 dens fracture of C2 with extension into the right lamina and pedicle but spares the right foramen transversarium.
Small associated prevertebral soft tissue swelling.
No vertebral dislocation.
Alignment is within normal limits. Hypoplastic left C1 neural arch.
Case Discussion
The Anderson and D'Alonzo classification system is the most commonly used and describes level of fracture line (i.e. through tip, base, or lateral masses).
