There is diffused enhanced thickening of the cecum and the proximal ascending colon surrounded by regional fatty stranding, free fluid and enhancing lymph nodes. Findings are in keeping with focal colitis in the cecum and proximal ascending colon.
Case Discussion
With reduced neutrophil counts, neutropenic collitis (Typhlitis) was considered as the top of the differentials.
