Irregularities in the surface of an atheromatous plaque located in the right carotid bulb. Identified greater irregularity that must match a small plaque ulceration, seen also in the B-mode cross section image. On the left bulb there is a soft atheromatous plaque with smooth surface.
Case Discussion
The classical plaque ulceration presents with a turbulent flow at color Doppler, not seen clearly on this case.
There were not determined hemodynamically significant stenoses on this study.
