Long history of ulcerative colitis.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Loss of colonic hustration is seen at distal colon. No focal wall thickening or mass lesion is present. A low-attenuation hepatic lesion, measuring 21×15 mm in diameters, is depicted, located at 7th hepatic segment (Couinaud`s nomenclature), revealing early peripheral, nodular enhancement and centripetal fill-in, most consistent with cavernous hemangioma.

Case Discussion

In a known patient with ulcerative colitis, loss of haustal pattern in the rectum, sigmoid and descending colon giving the "lead pipe sign", better seen on barium study.
