Pain in wrist and shoulder after fall.

Patient Data

Age: 80
Gender: Female

Negative ulnar variance and degenerative changes at the distal radioulnar joint, suggestive of ulnar impingement on the radius.

Case Discussion

Ulnar variance is associated with certain pathology. 

In the case of negative ulnar variance watch out for ulnar impingement on the radius.
