Ulnar nerve compression

Presentation

H/o surgery for soft tissue trauma at medial aspect of elbow - 6 wks back. Post opertive clinical features of ulnar nerve compression. Referred for targetted ultrasound of ulnar nerve at elbow.

Patient Data

Age: about 35 yrs
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Ulnar nerve proximal to elbow shows hypoechoic echopattern.

A linear echogenic structure is noted passing through ulnar nerve. This structure enters distal end of humerus. Its a surgical suture passing through nerve and fixed to to humeral cortex

Nerve compression is noted at this level.
