Routine obstetric color Doppler imaging at 34 weeks of gestation.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

A well-defined anechoic, avascular cystic lesion was seen at the region of umbilical cord insertion at the placenta suggestive of umbilical cord cyst.

Case Discussion

The remainder of the obstetric color Doppler study was normal. This was an incidental and isolated finding.
