Presentation

Trauma of the right elbow. ? fracture.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

A well-corticated bony structure is seen at the presumed position of the medial epicondyle with no associated swelling of the adjacent soft tissues.

Case Discussion

The radiographic appearance is most consistent with an un-united medial epicondyle ossification center. This appearance should not be confused with an avulsion fracture of the medial epicondyle especially if the clinical examination is normal (as in this case).
