Case Discussion

Cryptorchidism is defined as absence of a testis (or testes) in the scrotal sac. It may refer to an undescended testis (as in this case), ectopic testis, or an atrophic or absent testis. The correct localization of the testis (testes) must be mentioned because surgical management varies on location.
