Unicornate uterus with non-communicating cavity horn

Presentation

Left adnexal suspicious solid mass in sonography. Referred for pelvic MRI.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

There is a non-communicating cavity of rudimentary hone in the left side measuring about 22*41 mm with firmly attached to the right-sided unicornuate uterus with a functional cavity.

Minimal fluid signal is present at cul-de-sac space.

Both ovaries appear normal without evidence of obvious solid or cystic mass lesions.

Case Discussion

This is a case of a class IIb Mullerian duct anomaly representing an unicornuate uterus with non-communicating contralateral rudimentary horn contains endometrium.
