Presentation

Primary infertility for 7 years and failed IVF pregnancy.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
Fluoroscopy

The uterine cavity appears banana-shaped, curved, and shifted to the left side draining into a single left fallopian tube that appears patent, with free spillage of contrast medium into the peritoneal cavity.

Case Discussion

A unicornuate uterus is a type of Müllerian duct anomalies, which accounts approximately for 15% of all.   

It can be associated with renal anomalies (e.g. renal agenesis).  It can lead to infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and premature birth.
