Unilateral mandibular condylar hyperplasia

Facial asymmetry and altered dental occlusion.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

CT demonstrates unilateral mandibular condylar hyperplasia on the left with mandibular deviation. No cortical thinning, erosion or bony destruction was noted.

Right temporomandibular joint and mandibular condyle were normal.

Case Discussion

Mandibular condylar hyperplasia usually occurs unilaterally. The main differential diagnoses are osteoma and osteochondroma
