Unilateral partial renal atrophy

Left kidney interpolar and lower pole atrophy due to occlusion of the left renal artery.
Left aberrant renal artery supplying the upper pole.
Case Discussion
Accessory or aberrant renal arteries common variant anomalies (30 %) and sometimes seen bilateral (10 %) in population. These arteries commonly arising from the aorta. Accessory arteries are supplying renal hilum. If these arteries supplying poles of kidneys they called aberrant (polar) arteries.
