Case Discussion

Submandibular swelling is not uncommon due to lymphadenopathy, but this case was shown to be right-sided submandibular gland sialectasis.

The patent eventually had a neck CT, which confirmed the presence of an obstructing calculus that was otherwise obscured by the mandible's acoustic shadowing.
