Spinal dysraphism/ absent posterior neural elements of D2 down to D6 vertebrae with herniation of the dorsal cord through this defect to project into large CSF filled meningocele. Absent overlying skin.
The sagittal images showed features of Chiari II malformation manifested by small posterior fossa, displacement of the cerebellar tonsils through the foramen magnum, effaced 4th ventricle and supratentorial marked hydrocephalic changes.
This case shows Cervical and upper dorsal spinal dysraphism with large myelomeningocele secondary to Chiari II malformation.
