Prominent bilateral ureteric jets.
Case Discussion
Ureteric jets are a feature of a normally-functioning renal tract. They are a direct visualization of the intermittent physiological smooth muscle-mediated expulsion of urine from each ureter into the bladder. The absence of normal ureteric jets may represent obstruction of the renal tract on that side.
