Ureterocoele with non-obstructive calculus

Case contributed by Roberto Schubert
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Incidental finding in a patient scanned for metastatic colorectal cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

A hyperdense stone is visible corresponding to the position of the left VUJ.

The calculus is also demonstrated by MRI as a signal void. MR urography shows no signs of proximal dilation of the ureter or pelvicalyceal system of the left kidney, thus the stone is non-obstructive.
