Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Linear metallic density foreign body projects in the midline of the pelvis and is in-line with the urethra but whether it is within the urethral lumen or adjacent soft tissues cannot be determined. 


Case Discussion

As in this case, plain pelvic films are usually sufficient for identification of the object (which was a paperclip), number and its location although CT and US may be required 1
