Presentation

Urinary frequency and feeling of incomplete voiding. History of TURP 3 years ago.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male
Fluoroscopy

A few small radiolucent filling defects are seen in the penile urethra which are likely air bubbles. No stricture or abnormal dilatation is seen in the anterior urethra. No contrast extravasation is noted. Incidental finding of multiple glands of Littré (normal variant) along the penile urethra.

Case Discussion

Urethral glands of Littré are commonly seen in patients with urethral strictures or patients with chronic urethral infections; however, sometimes they can be opacified (as a normal anatomical variant) on the ascending urethrogram.
