Urethral stone

Presentation

Acute onset of dysuria and anuria. History of senile prostatic enlargement.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
CT

A stone is seen impacted at the origin of the prostatic urethra. It measures 850 HU in average density likely to be ca oxalate/phosphate stone. 

Prostatic enlargement is noted.

Case Discussion

The stone was impacted on the posterior urethral opening and it was extracted during urethroscopy. The presentation of the patient was acute which gave no time for developing hydroureteronephrosis.
