Urethral stricture

Presentation

History of hesitancy, recurrent discharge and dysuria intractable to medical treatment

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Retrograde urethrogram

Fluoroscopy

A segment of narrowing involving the bulbar and membranous urethras.

Some of the contrast has intravasate into the corpora spongiosum causing to double track appearance.

The penile and prostatic urethras appear normal.  

Contrast has also begun to fill the bladder.

Case Discussion

The patient had a history of chronic recurrent discharge and dysuria with subsequent hesitancy intractable to medical treatment. The patient had a lot of force during to urination and after urination had a sensation of incomplete drainage of the urinary bladder. Imaging finding and clinical symptoms are suggestive for urethral stricture with secondary infection.
