Urinary bladder cancer

Presentation

Work up for gross hematuria.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

A 58×35×45 mm intraluminal polypoid enhancing mass is noted at the anterosuperior aspect of the urinary bladder. Mild focal wall thickening is also evident at the right lateral wall. Mild perivesical fat stranding and vascular engorgement are seen in the vicinity of the diseased segment.

The prostate gland is enlarged.

A 15 mm gallstone is present.

A few non-enhanced simple cortical cysts are seen in both kidneys.

Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.
Grade I spondylolisthesis of L5 on S1 is present with bilateral spondylolysis.

Case Discussion

Urinary bladder mass; pathology proved urothelial cell carcinoma, without local invasion, regional lymphadenopathy, or detectable metastasis.
