Urinoma

Presentation

Abdominal CT scan performed for blunt trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Delayed phase CT scan obtained 1 hour later shows increased attenuation of the urinoma. Note the contrast material in the right perinephric space. There is also evidence of hydronephrosis on the right side.

Case Discussion

Traumatic urinoma in a previously obstructed kidney.  Hydronephrotic kidney is more susceptible than normal kidney to trauma.
