Fibroids and menorrhagia

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

Robertson's uterine catheter is used to cannulate uterine arteries on both sides with the right common femoral artery puncture. 

After excluding other causes; the uterine arteries on both sides are embolized using polyvinyl alcohol particles (300-350 micron size).

Post-embolization images reveal complete cessation of blood supply to the uterus on both sides.
