A large homogeneous rounded opacity is noted at the lower abdomen, with its top at L2-3 disc space, displacing bowel loops around it.
On excretory IVU (intravenous urography), the large opacity is seen splaying the urinary bladder dome. Normal pelvicalyceal system bilaterally.
Case Discussion
The patient is known to have a large abdominopelvic uterine fibroid. On IVU, it is seen with a mass effect upon the bladder dome.
