T2 fat sat
The lesion is predominantly hypointense on T2. There are hyperintense Inclusions on T1 GRE, which show a signal loss on the opposed-phase images.
Case Discussion
There are several types of degeneration, that can occur in a leiomyoma. Besides calcification, there are hyaline (>60%), cystic (approximately 4%), myxoid, red (haemorrhagic) and fatty degeneration, the last two being the least frequent 1,2.
