The IUD is seen on the left flank, well above the expected location of the uterus.
Case Discussion
The IUCD was not seen within the uterine cavity on transvaginal ultrasound (not shown). This is a case of a rare and serious complication related to IUCD insertion, in this case with few symptoms.
