Presentation
An indolent vaginal mass was incidentally found during a routine pelvic examination by the patient's gynecologist.
Patient Data
Duplicate cysts in the anterior vaginal wall with not completely fluid-isointense signal (probably proteinaceous content) and discrete peripheral rim enhancement.
Case Discussion
Cysts in the vaginal wall may arise from remnants of the Müllerian duct, the Gartner duct or from Skene's periurethral glands. Epidermoid inclusion cysts are also a possibility after surgery or trauma. Mucinous content has been described in Müllerian duct cysts. This probably applies to this case.
They must be differentiated from urethral diverticula, which are hardly ever asymptomatic.
