Varicocoele embolisation with polidokanol and coil

Infertile young male with abnormal semen test results. Songraphically proven left varicocele with testicular volume loss.

Patient Data

Age: 20
Gender: Male
DSA (angiography)

The catheter is placed in proximal part of testicular vein (route: iliac vein, IVC, left renal vein). After confirming the existence of varicocele scleriotizing agent and embolizing coil(s) are used. Control study shows successful embolisation of testicular vein.

Case Discussion

Patient with chronic groin and left scrotum pain. Recent semen analysis showed immobile sperms. Ultrasound examination revealed left varicocele. Intravenous left testicular vein embolization was performed to occlude veins draining varices.
