Presentation

Primigravida referred for a growth scan.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

The placenta is posterior low lying without covering internal os of the cervix. The umbilical cord is inserted anteriorly. The cord extends within chorio-amniotic membranes from anterior to posterior to reach the placenta and while doing so; it passes across internal cervical os.
