Direct and quick shunting of the contrast material bulous from the feeder arteries through the shunt, draining via the dilated median prosencephalic vein ("malformed" vein of Galen). 

Case Discussion

The case demonstrates the unusual Vein of Galen manifestation, which is rather rare to present in this age. The combination of hydrocephalus and "steal" phenomena are causes for the clinical features.
