The CT scan demonstrates:
- compression fracture of the inferior vertebral endplate of T12 with no displacement of the posterior vertebral wall or intraspinal bony fragment
- signs of ankylosing spondylitis (incidental finding):
- shiny corner sign of the anterosuperior corners from L2 to L5 representing reactive sclerosis secondary to inflammatory erosions of the superior and inferior endplates of the vertebral bodies known as Romanus lesions
- bilateral sacroiliitis
- bilateral costovertebral arthritis at T11 and T12
