Presentation
Rigid flat feet since started walking
Patient Data
Obliquely oriented talus with the head sitting dorsal to the navicular. The head also sits medially, the sole of the foot is convex ("rocker bottom"), the forefoot is abducted and dorsiflexed and the hindfoot is in equinovalgus. Calcaneo-cuboid articulation can also be dislocated but not in this case
Case Discussion
This condition is characterized by an irreducible, dorsal dislocation of the navicular in relation to the talus and presents as a rigid flat foot. It may be isolated or associated with chromosomal abnormalities, myelomeningocele and other neurologic disorders
