Presentation

Blunt trauma to the left side of the face.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
ct

Total opacification of the left eye globe shows heterogeneous hyperdense left vitreous, matching with acute vitreous hemorrhage. Fracture of the left lamina papyracea with medially displaced medial rectus muscle with herniated intraorbital fat and fine air loculi into the related ethmoid. Another fracture of the left orbital floor with associated corresponding hemosinus.

Case Discussion

Post-traumatic vitreous hemorrhage occurs when a blood vessel ruptures and bleeds into the vitreous humor.
