Presentation
Trauma to 5th digit 2 weeks previously. Patient complained of persistent swelling of the finger and was noted to have a flexion deformity of the finger.

There is a bone flake adjacent to the palmar aspect of the 5th proximal interphalangeal joint. A defect is noted in 5th middle phalanx base on the palmar side.

Appearances are in keeping with a typical volar plate avulsion injury.
