History of pain and swelling at the left little finger since yesterday after trauma by a cricket ball, on examination: swelling, hotness bluish discoloration with tenderness over the left little finger.

- Avulsion fracture of the base of the middle phalanx of the little digit along the volar aspect consistent with a volar plate injury.
- No other fractures.
- Mild soft tissue swelling is seen.

Middle phalanx base fracture maybe a volar base, dorsal and lateral base
Can be also classified into partial articular fractures and complete articular fractures.
