Large left vulval mass appearing post vaginal delivery

Patient Data

Age: 35
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

Large, heterogeneous mass without blood flow typical of fresh haematoma. It was successfully drained under US control.

Case Discussion

Vulval haematoma is typically seen post vaginal delivery especially assisted delivery with forceps and episiotomy.  Occasionally they can occur spontaneously.
