Large left vulval mass appearing post vaginal delivery

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Large, heterogeneous mass without blood flow typical of a fresh hematoma. It was successfully drained under US control.

Case Discussion

Vulval hematoma is typically seen post vaginal delivery especially assisted delivery with forceps and episiotomy.  Occasionally they can occur spontaneously.
