Case contributed by Chris O'Donnell
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Palpable lump right parotid. Previously biopsied in 2008 - Warthin tumor. The patient elected not to have removed. Now increasing size.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Well defined ovoid hypoechoic mass in the parotid.  Usually a pleomorphic adenoma but in this case a Warthin tumor (adenolymphoma).  The patient did not have surgery so this case shows the natural history ie very slow-growing tumor prone to multifocality (including bilaterality but not in this case).  A second lesion with similar imaging characteristics has developed in the same gland.
