Info
CT demonstrates wormian bone in posterior fontanelle, left lambdoid suture, and bilateral squamosal sutures.
No evidence of craniosynostosis.
The brain appears normal.
Case Discussion
Wormian bones or intra-sutural bones are very common, usually idiopathic (anatomical variant), or associated with several pathological conditions (pyknodysostosis, osteogenesis imperfecta, Rickets, others).
