Complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament with associated ramp lesion (meniscocapsular separation) with an oblique horizontal tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus with contact to the upper articular surface.

Proximal tear of the posterior meniscofemoral ligament (of Wrisberg) with an associated 2 cm rip into the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus, which is called Wrisberg rip.

Diffuse bone marrow oedema of the femur, tibia, fibula, and patella.

Case Discussion

A Wrisberg rip is a tear into the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus, usually in the setting of a knee distorsion (also called zipper tear).
