Wrongly suspected pulmonary infiltrates

Ongoing pneumonia treatment. Infection parameter has fallen down. Troublesome mucus in upper airways. Increasing respiratory difficulty and decreasing air saturation. !mpaired adningljud at auskultaion.

Case Discussion

The patient was almost in a supine position, leading to projection exaggeration of basal structures including blood vessels which may resemble infiltrates.
A chest CT a few hours after chest radiograph showed no infiltrates and no pleural fluid.
