Presentation

Pelvic mass.

Patient Data

Age: 8 months
Gender: Female

In the pelvis, there is a non-homogeneous soft tissue mass with the greatest dimension of 9.0 cm. It has a significant mass effect on the adjacent organs. Its lower border is located at the level of the vagina.
The body of the uterine and ovaries are not differentiated.
No visible lymphadenopathy. No distant metastases.

Histologically proven tolk sac tumor.

Yolk sac tumor without lymphadenopathy and distant metastases.
Yolk sac tumor is a malignant, endodermal sinus tumor, histologically similar to the mesenchyma of the primitive yolk sac. Usually, it is found in children before the age of 2.
