Dysphagia and halitosis.

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
Barium

There is tight upper esophageal stenosis with proximal dilatation and hold up of contrast media, with jet-like contrast passage through stoma.

Case Discussion

Features are typical for esophageal web that refer to an esophageal constriction caused by a thin mucosal membrane projecting into the lumen, with characteristic jet-like contrast passage through stoma, the so-called the esophageal "Jet-phenomenon".
