Pituitary Region Learning Pathway

Pituitary region MRI studies are often considered "easy" studies to report. The reality is that they are easy to report badly. The region is affected by numerous pathologies that derive from a number of different structures. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, the physiological control of the pituitary is responsible for many clinical presentations and misunderstandings.

In this learning pathway, neuroradiologist Frank Gaillard reviews the anatomy, physiology, embryology and pathology of the region. He also provides a systematic approach to pituitary region MRI and demonstrates this with 14 video commentary cases.

Feature
  • audio track guiding you through the various topics (see overview)
  • detailed coverage of pituitary adenomas and other regional pathologies
  • video commentary of 14 cases  - over 2 hours in total
  • 30 multiple-choice questions
  • official course certificate
  • transcripts of audio and closed captions of videos (English)
Approx. completion time = 6 hrs

"Very helpful course. Exceptional!"

"Honestly a fantastic pathway, enjoyed every step of it especially the extensive review of collateral findings in the video commentaries"

"Really excellent. Massively increased my confidence of reporting pituitary scans. More please!"

Intended audience

This learning pathway is targeted at radiologists and radiology trainees. Subspecialist neuroradiologists will probably be familiar with most of the content, but nonetheless may find value in completing the pathway. The content may also be of interest to neurosurgeons, ENT surgeons, oncologists and radiation oncologists.
