Pathological fracture of the femoral shaft - renal cell carcinoma metastasis

Discussion:

The history of fracture and its aspects of imaging suggests a pathological fracture.

The patient underwent an abdominal CT that showed (not available) a 6 cm mass in the left kidney.

The patient was treated with segmental bone resection and reconstruction with a modular titanium diaphyseal endoprosthesis.

The diagnosis was confirmed as a metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
