Duodenal heterotopic pancreatic tissue

Discussion:

The heterotopic pancreas is ectopic pancreatic tissue devoid of anatomical and vascular continuity with the pancreas. It is usually found in the gastric antrum and duodenum. It is usually asymptomatic but may be complicated by pancreatitis, pseudocyst, intussusception, obstruction and gastrointestinal bleeding.
