50 year old male with occassional syncopal attacks underwent implantable cardiac monitor placement to record the abnormal ECG rhythms.  

Frontal chest radiograph shows the implantable cardiac monitor overlying the left lower chest. 

These cardiac monitors are subcutaneously placed and are small enough to be placed for long term monitoring (for upto 2-3 years).
