The Royal Melbourne Hospital has been providing care and treatment for the sickest in our community since 1848. As well as being a general adult hospital and level 1 trauma centre with one of the busiest emergency departments in Australia, The Royal Melbourne Hospital forms part of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and is the statewide centre for Endovascular Clot Retrieval in acute stroke.

The Radiology department performs over 200,000 examinations and procedures each year across the full gamut of medical imaging. The department is closely affiliated with the University of Melbourne School of Medicine, and provides both registrar and fellowship training positions for local and international doctors.
